Happy Holidays! and books

Happy Holidays!

It is crazy freezing cold on the other end of the globe where religious people are lining up for a mile to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow to kiss the Virgin Belt for good luck.

Today on the 60F beautiful Day After the Thanksgiving holiday I visited my friend who just had a major surgery, she is laying in bed recovering.

No TV in the bedroom, no-no! If I had to lay for days, I would be knitting, or drawing, or reading. Yes, definitely reading.

When I have time to sit around, or travel I always have a book to read....er... listen to.

Most of the people I speak with are already subscribers to Audible.  I've been enjoying downloading and listening to my collection since 2007.  I've listened my way around the world, and continue to find listening to books the best way for me to stay on top of much of the cutting edge work going on in neuroscience, as well as attempting for Ayn Rands' Atlas Shrugged for entertainment.

Sorry to sound like a big ad for Audible, but I love these guys, and I want to share it with you.  It's organized so you can listen on your PC, your Ipod, or even your Smartphone.

Let me make a couple of recommendations from my list this year, and I hope you find it as useful and enjoyable as I have.

Art and creativity meet science. Truly amazing observation

The Body Has a Mind of Its Own (Unabridged) by Sandra Blakslee non-fiction

This book changed the way I view much of the work I do, and has impacted the results I get with clients.

Atlas Shrugged  by Ayn Rand

Happy and Safe Thanksgiving to you,
